ALBERTA C. SAMM, 89, of Jasonville, IN passed away at 2:57 a.m. Sunday, January 5th, 2025 in Union Hospital in Terre Haute, IN.
She was born May 30th, 1935 in Schererrville, IN to William Austgen and Loretta Austgen (Whener).
Survivors include her husband, Weldon Samm of Jasonville, IN; children, Edward Trump (Darlene) of Willis, TX, Barry Trump (Joan) of Columbus, IN, Joyce Fry (Chad) of Jasonville, IN Daniel Trump (Frances) of California, PA; step-children, Donald Samm (Cheryl) of Hymera, IN, Sally Samm (John) of Shelburn, IN, Bonnie Boone (Scott) of Sullivan, IN, Paula Timmons of Terre Haute, IN; grandchildren – 29 great-grandchildren – 40; great-great grandchildren – 26; sister, Mary Mote (Jack) of Kouts, IN and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 1st husband Jackie Richard Trump; 5 grandchildren; siblings, Gerald Austgen, Clarence Austgen, Roy Austgen, Thomas Austgen, Daniel Austgen, and Ida Austgen.
Alberta Graduated Schererville High School. She had worked for Formfit for several years, then for Engles Laboratory Animals in Farmersburg. When her family started Alberta dedicated herself to being a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time quilting, watching game shows and Perry Mason reruns. Alberta loved her grandchildren and spending time with them. She never passed a yard sale without stopping to look. She was actively involved with St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Jasonville and played the organ there for over 50 years.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Funeral Services will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 16th, 2025 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church with Father Bakka officiating.
Interment will be at K of P Cemetery in Hymera, IN.
