AMANDA M. (GILBERT) GILMAN, 28, of Indianapolis, IN formerly of Lewis, IN passed away at 12:16 P.M. Thursday, February 27, 2020 in her parents home in Lewis, IN.

She was born January 16, 1992 in Terre Haute, IN to Jed A. Gilbert and Terri S. (Wilson) Gilbert.

Survivors include her husband, Caleb E. Gilman  of Indianapolis whom she married on August 8, 2015; daughter, Elle M. Gilman at home; parents, Jed Gilbert (Terri) of Lewis, IN; siblings, Heather LaFave (Daniel) of Riley, IN, Jessica May (Rick) of Spencer, IN; brother & sister in-laws, Ryan Gilman (Hilary) of Farmersburg, Andrew Gilman (Aprill) of Brownsburg, IN; father & mother in-law, Terry Gilman (Anita) of Farmersburg, IN; maternal grandparents, Mike Wilson (Paula) of Jasonville, IN; paternal grandparents in-law, Virginia Gilman of Sullivan, IN, Zada Barnett of Hymera, IN; many aunts and uncles; nieces and nephews, Kinsley LaFave, Lucas LaFave, Connor May, Emma Gilman, Norah Gilman, Camden Gilman, Alyson Gilman.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Emmalee Gilbert; paternal grandparents, Sam & Nancy Gilbert; maternal grandfather in-law, Bruce Barnett; paternal grandfather in-law, Robert Joseph Gilman; cousin, Kaylee Moore.

Amanda  graduated from Shakamak High School Class of 2010, received a Masters Degree from Ball State University and from Indiana State Unitversity. She was working on her PHD at ISU in school psychology. Amanda worked as a Certified Behavioral Analyst in the Indianapolis Area. She loved going to the museum and zoo with Elle and the time they spent together, she also loved going to Disney. Amanda enjoyed crafts, playing sports and was a true competitor at heart.

Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation is scheduled from 5 to 9 P.M. Monday at the Funeral Home and from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. Tuesday at the Farmersburg United Methodist Church, Farmersburg, IN. Funeral Services are 1 P.M. Tuesday, March 3, 2020 with Pastor Jeff Blansett officiating.

Interment will be at Little Flock Cemetery in Shelburn, IN.

In lieu of flower contributions may be made in memory of Amanda to Sarcoma Foundation of America. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
