WILBUR GLENN AMBS, 87, of Terre Haute, Indiana passed away at 6:38 a.m. Sunday, November 16, 2014 in Regional Hospital, Terre Haute, IN.
He was born March 27, 1927 in Jasonville, IN to Orval Ambs and Della (Miller) Ambs.
Survivors include his aunt, Mildred “Mid” Ambs Bennett of Jasonville, IN; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Rex Ambs.
Glenn was a dress designer/seamstress for Off-Broadway in Chicago, IL, worked for a flower shop in Chicago and also was an artist. He enjoyed drawing related to his art interest. Glenn had been a Military Policeman during WWII.
Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation was scheduled from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Funeral Services immediately followed at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at the Cox Funeral Home with Pastor Nancy Followell officiating.
Interment was at Peavey Cemetery in Howesville, IN with Military Graveside Rites.
