JAMES W. ANDERSON, 78, of Jasonville, Indiana passed away at 6:45 p.m. Saturday, April 9, 2011 in his residence, Jasonville, IN. He was born December 27, 1932 in Jasonville, IN to Harry Anderson and Ruth (White) Anderson.

Survivors include daughter, Cheryl Cullison of Bloomfield, IN; sons & daughter-in-laws, Michael W. & Brenda Anderson of Jasonville, IN and Mark & Ellen Anderson of Bloomfield, IN; grandchildren, Shannon & Ruth Anderson, Leslie & Joe Summerville, Chad & Monica Cullison, Zachary Zoellner, Alisha Zoellner, Theresa & Ed Boyd, Scott & Rebecca Kirkpatrick; 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Jean Van Meertin, Betty Ginter and Frances Bennett; brother, Clyde Anderson.

James proudly served as an Army Veteran in the Korean War. He retired from Shakamak State Park after 20 years of service in Park Maintenance. James was a wonderful father and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He enjoyed fishing on the river at the cabin and mushroom hunting.

Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street;  Jasonville, Indiana with Visitation scheduled from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. until service time Thursday at the Funeral Home.

Funeral Services were 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 14, 2011 at the Cox Funeral Home with Pastor Jonathan Heard and Pastor Ron Zimmerman officiating.

Interment was at the Lebanon Cemetery in Midland, IN with Military Graveside Rites.
