ANNE LOUISE HANDLEY, 90, of Jasonville, Indiana was born November 8, 1919 to Herman Zeps and Martha (Ansorge) Zeps on her Grandparent’s farm November 8, 1919 in Sullivan County which is now part of Shakamak State Park. She passed away at 10:58 a.m. Sunday, April 18, 2010 in Greene County General Hospital, Linton, IN. She was married to Forest Handley and he preceded her in death on December 31, 1999.

Survivors include daughter, Sue Girard of Rocky Hill, CT; son, David Handley of Jasonville; brother and wife, Frank & Phyllis Zeps of Georgia; grandchildren, Todd Handley of Terre Haute, IN, Terry & Cathy Handley of Jasonville, IN, Tim Handley of Jasonville, IN; great-grandchildren, Kristy, Becky, Randy, Jesse & Jonathan; nine great-great-grandchildren living in Indiana–Kristlyn, Kayden, Dacian, Saber, Broden, Devin, Kelsey, Braxton and Jody. Also three great-great grandchildren living in California–Vanessa, Matthew & Joseph; and one in Virginia–Marisa. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Forest Handley; son, Keith Handley in May 2007; daughter-in-law, Wanda in April 2000; brothers, Jack Zeps and Herm Zeps; sisters, Francie Zeps & Violet Zeps.

Anne graduated from Jasonville High School in 1937. She furthered her education by graduating from Phoenix College in Phoenix, AZ in 1965 with her son David and daughter Sue. She returned to Indiana from Phoenix in 1965 and worked in Kokomo at the YWCA for a number of years before returning to Jasonville. She worked at the Jasonville Gas Department, Peoples Trust and then retired after serving over nine years as Jasonville Clerk- Treasurer. She was a member of Beta Delphians, Shakamak Women’s Civic Club, Wednesday Research Club, Treasurer of the Jasonville Library Board, a past President of Tri Kappa. She was also a former Girl Scout Leader and Den Mother. Was a chartered member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Linton.

Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home, 218 South Meridian Street, Jasonville, IN. Visitation was 8:30-10 a.m. Wednesday morning with Funeral Services following at 10 a.m. April 21, 2010 at the funeral home, Pastor Joe David Faust officiated. Interment was in Case Cemetery in Hymera, IN

In lieu of flowers contributions were made to the Greene County Humane Society.
