JAMES E. ARNAC, 80, of Jasonville, Indiana passed away at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 6, 2016 in Shakamak Good Samaritan Nursing Center in Jasonville, Indiana.

He was born October 20, 1936 in Greene County, IN to Gabriel J. and Edna L. (Anderson) Arnac.

James was a licensed Airline Transport Pilot with over 10,000 flight hours logged. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, having received the Air Force Commendation Medal for his distinctive accomplishments reflecting credit upon himself and the United States Air Force for Jim’s service during the Vietnam War. At the time of his retirement he was a technical writer for The Boeing Company. James attended and was a member of Providence Baptist Church. He was a member and Chaplain of Jasonville American Legion Post #172, a Life Member of Florissant, MO VFW Post #4105, a member of the Indiana Sheriffs Association, & a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Linton Lodge #90.

Survivors include his daughters, Felita Daniels of Knoxville, TN, Lisa and Larry Young of Columbia, MO, Sarah Arnac of Mojave, CA; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Naomi Wasnidge of Jasonville, IN, Sierra Sue Ledbetter of Linton, IN, Sharon and Bill Pirtle of Albuquerque, NM; 1st wife Marilyn Bastean of Florissant, MO, 2nd wife Fran Arnac of O’Fallon, MO; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 3rd wife, Ruth (Colvis) Arnac; sister, Beatrice Ford; brother, Hank Arnac; brothers-in-law, Phillip Wasnidge, Lenson Ledbetter, Harold Ford; sister-in-law, Velma Arnac.

Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, IN; coxfuneralhomejasonville.com. Visitation was scheduled from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday, December 11, 2016. Funeral Services immediately followed at 7:00 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home with Pastor Darren McDonald officiating.

Interment was at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA with Military Honors.

In lieu of flowers donations were made in memory of James to St. Charles American Legion Post # 312.
