ARTHUR D. “BUD” DANKO, 73, of Shelburn, IN passed away at 9:25 P.M. Sunday, August 13, 2023 in The Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care in Terre Haute, IN.
He was born July 18, 1950 in Sullivan, IN to Arthur D. Danko and Laveta Maxine (Crist) Danko.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Peggy Danko of Shelburn, IN; daughters, Paula Kay Kennett (Jim) of Shelburn, IN, Billie Jo Kaufman (Will) of Shelburn, IN; grandchildren, Connor Strain (Candice), Tyler Strain (Makylee), Isla Grace Kaufman; great-granddaughter; Kamryn Mae Strain; siblings, Karen Bose of Shelburn, IN, Gary Danko of Shelburn, IN; his dog Chief.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, David Danko; sister, Bonnie Danko; a niece and nephew.
Bud retired from the Carpenters Local out of Terre Haute, he then worked as a cabinet maker for 15 years. He enjoyed horse back riding, hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. Bud loved spending time with his family.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. In keeping with Bud’s wishes cremation is scheduled with a Celebration of Life to be held on Friday, August 25, 2023, from 5 to 7 pm at the funeral home.
