AUDRA CARMEN (PALUMBO) LANG, 72, of Hymera, IN passed away at 9:16 a.m. Friday, April 17, 2026 in her home in Hymera, IN.
She was born April 10, 1954 in Portsmouth, VA to Angelo Palumbo and Claudette (Boger) May.
Carmen married Michael Ray Lang Sr. “Doodle” on March 29, 1976, he passed away on February 17, 2025.
Survivors include her children, Michael Lang Jr. (Londia) of Shelburn, IN, Wendie Borders of Hymera, IN; grandchildren, George Borders, Josiah Lang, Tytan Lang, Sylas Lang; sisters, Kip Maxwell (Michael) of Terre Haute, IN, Melodie Quick of Terre Haute, IN; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; son, Travis Palumbo.
Carmen graduated from North Central High School in Farmersburg, IN. She had worked at the post office and as a CNA. She was a member of Hymera Community Church in Hymera, IN. Carmen enjoyed collecting stamps, watching humming birds and fishing. She loved nature and being outdoors. She was an avid reader and enjoyed reading romance novals. The highlite of Carmen’s day was having coffee with her friends. She was a devoted mother and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. In keeping with Carmen’s wishes cremation is scheduled. There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
