MARY LUCILLE BEMIS, 92, of Coalmont, Indiana passed away at 3:15 a.m. Thursday, April 9, 2015 in her residence.
She was born April 28, 1922 in Coalmont, IN to Floyd Emery Bemis and Rachel Rebecca (Burger) Bemis.
Survivors include her sisters, Rachel E. Bemis of Coalmont, IN, Anna Letitia Rehmel of Mishawaka, IN; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Bemis of Linton, IN, Norma Bemis of Coalmont, IN; nieces and nephews, Nancy & Dennis Kristler, David & Kim Bemis, Linda Bemis, Larry & Diane Bemis, Maxine & Mike Davis, Dale & Toni Bemis, Debbie Speyboeck, Becky Gosa, LaDonna & Dick Gay, Patricia Rehmel, Bob Rehmel, Betty & Keith McCartney, Roy & Karen Rehmel, Marie Anne Rehmel; several great, great-great, and great-great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Infant Cora Bell Bemis, Ruby Bemis; brothers, Alvie Bemis, John Bemis; brother & sister-in-law, Emery and Lora Bemis; brother-in-law, Raymond Rehmel; nephew, Edward Rehmel.
Mary attended the Coalmont School. She also attended the Shiloh Assembly of God Church. She retired from G.E. in Linton, IN. Mary loved her family and enjoyed her flowers, church, gardening and baking.
Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation was scheduled from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. service time Monday at the Funeral Home. Funeral Services were 1 p.m. Monday, April 13, 2015 at the Cox Funeral Home with Rev. Dick Smith and Rev. Frank Pawlak officiating.
Interment was at K of P Cemetery in Hymera, IN.
