BERTHA IRENE BLANTON, 59, of Midland, IN passed away at 2:55 a.m.  Tuesday, January, 14, 2020 in IU Health Hospice in Bloomington, IN.

She was born January 17, 1960 in Indianapolis, IN to Elva Wood Wiley and Melvie (Adkins) Wiley.

Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Jack L. Blanton of Midland, IN who she married on June 11, 1977; children, Jackie Lynn Hinkle (Tim S.) of Jasonville, IN, Harley Davis Blanton (Rebecka) of Midland, IN; grandchildren, Ashley Marie LeGrand, Diamond Jewel Hinkle, Cloe Irene Hinkle; great-grandsons, Timothy Wayne Bean and Jaxson Bean; Mother, Melvie Wiley of Midland, IN; siblings, Elva Wiley (Sharon) of Midland, IN, Maggie Jewel Wiley of Indianapolis, IN, Cora B. Chittenden (Robert) of Jasonville, IN, George D. Wiley of Jasonville, IN, Melvie E. Wiley Edwards of Midland, IN and Colleen Wiley (Gene) of Jasonville, IN; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Bertha worked in manufacturing before she began raising her family. She enjoyed fishing and bingo and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandsons.

Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation is scheduled from  11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday January 18, 2020 with Funeral Services at 2 p.m. at the Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Rotman officiating.

Interment will be at Fry Cemetery in Midland, IN.
