BETTY L. BROWN, 94, of Sullivan, IN passed away at 7:30 A.M. Monday, December 27, 2021 in Regional Hospital at Terre Haute, IN.
She was born August 19, 1927 in Greene County, IN to John P. Gibson and Edith (Bays) Gibson.
Survivors include her husband of 74 years, William L. “Bill” Brown of Sullivan, IN whom she married on August 30, 1947; children, John Brown (Joy) of Hymera, IN, Jake Brown of Jasonville, IN; grandchildren, Linda Doty (Chad), Rebecca Martlage (Kevin), Trisha Stockdell (Mike), Lacey Webb (Doug); great-grandchildren, 7; great-great grandchildren, 1.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Velma Sampson.
Betty graduated Jasonville High School. Betty worked as a beautician and was a homemaker. She enjoyed crafts and when she was younger enjoyed sewing.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation is scheduled from Noon to 2 P.M. Friday, December 31, 2021 at the Funeral Home. Services are immediately following at 2 P.M. with Pastor David Cox officiating. In keeping with Betty’s wishes cremation will be scheduled with burial at K of P Cemetery in Hymera, IN at a later date.
