BETTY L. (JONES) BORDERS, 77, of Jasonville, IN passed away at 6:53 A.M. Friday, February 16, 2024 in Regional Hospital in Terre Haute, IN.
She was born August 1, 1946 in Lewis, IN to Harry Edmond Jones and Leona May (Hite) Jones.
Betty married Jack L. Borders December 1970, he passed away onApril 15, 2013.
Survivors include her children, Amy Collins of Jasonville, IN, ToddBorders (Lisa) of Jasonville, IN ; grandchildren, Kyrstin Roberts (Parker), Lane Baker (Sam); siblings, Tillie Powers of Lewis, IN, Judy Chamness of Terre Haute, IN; Furbaby, Sheba; grandFurbabie, Duke, Carly, Ruby, Daisy, Remi.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; sisters, Bonnie May (Jones) Mattox, Mary Ellen (Jones) Monk. .
Betty graduated from Hymera High School Class of 1965. She worked as a correctional officer for Wabash Valley Correctional Facitlity until she retired. Betty enjoyed mowing the yard, gardening, taking care of her chickens. She loved her furbaby and grandfurbabies.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Private Family Services are scheduled.
Interment will be at Friendly Grove Cemetery near Lewis, IN.
