BETTY L. (MILLER) (ABEL) BRIDGES, 94, of Jasonville, INpassed away at 12:45 A.M. Friday, March 11, 2022 at Shakamak Good Samaritan Center in Jasonville, Indiana.
She was born January 19, 1928, in Sullivan County to Orval E. Millerand Ethel E. (Reiling) Miller.
Betty married Don Bridges in 1969, he passed away in 2009.
Survivors include her children, daughters: Donna L. Maze (Warren Hays) of James Island, SC, Debra L. Smith (Earl) of Jasonville, IN;daughter in-law, Velora Abel of Corpus Cristi, TX grandchildren,Michael Shannon Orman (Cara), Anthony B. Orman (Ginny), Larry Regan (Ryann), Ralph B. Regan (Stacy), Shelly Jackson (Jeremy), Jason Smith (Jodi), John Crussie (Tina), Ashley Sotherby (Brian), Stephanie Childers (Chris), Lori Ann Scott, Scotty Bridges, Gary Bridges, Billy Ray Bridges Jr, Jessie Bridges, Michael D. Bridges, Alex Pack (Amanda), Kimberly Ugarte (Ceasar); numerous great-grandchildren,nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Anthony Gordon Abel, Timothy E. Abel; daughter, Paula K. (Abel) Engle (Jessie); step daughter, Theresa Ann Martin; step grandson, Eric L Bridges; sister,Bernice Griffith; brothers, Ernest Miller, Kenneth Miller (Marlene).
Betty was a homemaker, she loved to decorate the house, cook for her family whom she loved dearly. Betty enjoyed her cardinals and liked fishing with Don. She also liked to take drives with Don visiting State Parks. Betty loved her Lord and enjoyed listening to Christian music.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation is scheduled from Noon to 1 P.M. Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at the Funeral Home. Services are immediately following at 1 P.M. with Anthony (Brian) Orman officiating.
Interment will be at Peavey Cemetery in Howesville, IN.
