BETTY R. (GADBERRY) SMITH, 94, of Terre Haute, IN passed away Friday, December 30, 2022 in The Wyndmoor in Terre Haute, IN.
She was born October 10, 1928 in Jasonville, IN to Osa Gadberry and Mary Gracie Irene (Rehmels) Gadberry.
Survivors include her children, Sharon Haverkamp (Tom) of Terre Haute, IN, Jennifer Sharpe (Mike) of Terre Haute, IN, Cynthia Pettit (Richard) of Cloverdale, IN, Richard Smith (Rhonda) of Terre Haute, IN; grandchildren, Dane Grounds, Danielle Grounds, Collin Grounds (Haley). Jay Riddell (Danielle); great-grandchildren,Jasmine Riddell, Heaven Riddell; several nieces and nephews. .
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Doris Smith, Norma Jackson; brother, Donald Gadberry; granddaughter, Keri Sharpe; nieces, Rita Crysell, Debbie Jackson; nephew, Ronald Smith.
Betty attended The Journey Assembly of God in Terre Haute. She worked for several years for Columbia Records.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation is scheduled from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. Saturday, January 7, 2023 at the Funeral Home. Services are immediately following at 1 P.M. with Pastor Bill Richardson officiating.
Interment will be at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland, IN.
