BILL R. STOUT, 70, of Jasonville, IN passed away at 3:45 P.M. Friday, September 18, 2020 while working outdoors.
He was born September 15, 1950 in Sullivan County, IN to Donald Stout and Joy (Bush) Stout.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Jane Stout of Jasonville, IN whom he married on September 13, 1975; sons, Jason Stout (Katie) of Jasonville, IN, Tom Stout (Ashley) of Greenwood, IN; granddaughters, Bryn Stout, Ellie Stout and a grandson on the way; father, Donald Stout of Coalmont, IN; siblings, Kathy Ford (Steve) of Terre Haute, IN, Gary Stout (Lisa) of Terre Haute, IN, Carey Stout (Barbara) of Bloomfield, IN; sister in-law. Pam Stout of Worthington, IN; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, brother – Brad Stout.
Bill graduated from Shakamak High School Class of 1968. He served in the Air Force from 1970 to 1974. He has worked for Peabody Coal Co., S.G. Solutions and Enron/Allegheny as an Operations Technician. Bill had a degree in surface mining and was certified in HVAC. He retired in 2012, which gave him time to pursue countless shop projects and to read a plethora of books.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation is scheduled from 11 A.M. until service time Wednesday at the Funeral Home. Funeral Services are 2 P.M. Wednesday September the 23, 2020. Masks are not required but may be worn if preferred.
Interment will be at Friendly Grove Cemetery in Lewis, IN.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Bill to the Jasonville Public Library. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
