FOREST EARL BLACK, 88, of Highland, Indiana passed away Wednesday, December, 3, 2014.

Survivors include his son & daughter-in-law, Greg & Tammy Black of Lowell, IN; grandsons, Jacob Black and Jesse Black both of Fishers, IN, Joshua Black of Lowell, IN; brother & sister-in-law, Robert & Betty Black of Greencastle, IN.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Matilda (Stoops) Black; wife of 64 years, Patricia Jane Black on April 15, 2014; brothers, James “Dick” Black, Larry Black.

Forest was retired from Inland Steel Company with 32 years of service, was a WWII U.S. Army Veteran and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

The family would like to thank all caregivers that helped Forest adjust to his new life at The Wittenberg Village.

Funeral Services were held 7 p.m. Friday, December 5, 2014 at the Kuiper Funeral Home in Highland, IN with Pastor Don Rector officiating.

Local Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation was scheduled from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Cox Funeral Home. Military Graveside Rites immediately followed visitation at the Lebanon Cemetery in Midland, IN on December 6, 2014.
