BONITA A. (MCKAY) WILKINS, 69, of Hymera, IN passed away at 12:10 A.M. Monday, December 15, 2025 at Serenity Springs in Jasonville, IN.
She was born April 10, 1956 in Bakersfield, CA to William H. McKay and Mary L. (Byrd) McKay.
Bonita married Michael L. Wilkins on August 12, 1995. He passed away on August 18, 2025.
Survivors include her step-sons, Jonathan Wilkins Sr. and his brother; and friend and caregiver, Lenora Smith.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Michael.
Bonita and Michael were very active with the Sullivan Area Art Guild Gallery.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. In keeping with Bonita’s wishes, cremation was chosen and there are no services scheduled at this time.
Interment will be at K of P Cemetery in Hymera, IN.
