BONNIE ALICE BORDERS, 84, of Jasonville, Indiana went to be home with the Lord Jesus at 1:50 p.m. Thursday, April 4, 2013 in St. Vincent Hospice Unit, Indianapolis, IN. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

She was born October 26, 1928 in Hymera, IN, to Earl Lester McCrocklin and Alice Rebecca (Morrison) McCrocklin.

Survivors include her husband, Robert R. “Bob” Borders of Jasonville, IN, who she married on November 4, 1949; daughters & sons-in-law, Sharon R. & Vernon Raines of Jasonville, IN, Linda Sue & Roger Lee of Sullivan, IN, Nancy K. & Bob Meeks of Lebanon, IN; sons & daughters-in-law, Robert “Bobby” M. & Kim Borders of Franklin, IN, Anthony “Tony” L. & Nancy Borders of Sacramento, CA, Bruce A. & Lola Borders of Jasonville, IN; grandchildren, Jenny Robbins & Mike, Mike Myers & Lisa, Stacey Knowles & Todd, Gabriel Bond, Jennifer Lee, Jim Raines & Jill, Mark Raines & Brandy, Amber Raines, Bobby Borders, Kyla Borders, Bethany Schunk & Isaac, Rebekah Bark & Brian, Jordan Borders, Jarred Meeks, Evan Meeks, Brandon Borders, Karen Borders; great-grandchildren, Garrett, Grayden, Ashlynn, Jade, Sara, Alex, Caleb, Gage, Nathan, Addison, Noah, Kyia, Khloe, Christian, Layla, Ema, Andrew, Felicity and Elijah; sisters & brothers-in-law, Mary Rachel “Chick” Haag of Avon, IN, Rebecca Ann “Becky” & Mike Rambis of Cupertino, CA; several nieces, nephews & cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Cheryl Ann Borders, Karen Renee Borders; brother, Robert Earl “Bob” McCrocklin.

Bonnie had retired as a Registered Nurse from Mary Sherman Hospital where she worked as an OB Nurse. She was a graduate of Union Hospital School of Nursing. She attended the Jasonville Assembly of God Church and Lawton Street Christian Church. Bonnie loved to read, travel, play Scrabble, and collect dolls. She was always singing around the house and attending Bruce’s Elvis Shows. She enjoyed going to Branson to see the shows, watching Pacer Basketball, walking and driving through Shakamak State Park. Bonnie enjoyed growing flowers around the house. Her real love was spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana with Visitation scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and Noon until 2 p.m. funeral service time Wednesday at the Assembly of God Church. Funeral Services were 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at the church with Pastor Sam Bush and Pastor Mark Messmer officiating.

Interment was at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland, IN.

Contributions were made in memory of Bonnie to the Riley Children’s Hospital.
