LISA D. BOSTON, 56, of Mt. Carmel, Illinois and previously of Jasonville, Indiana passed away peacefully in her sleep at 10:30 p.m. Monday, February 6, 2017 in her residence.  

She was born September 4, 1960 in Sullivan, IN to Wilbur E. May and Ruth (Pinkston) May Gardner.

Survivors include her mother, Ruth Gardner of Terre Haute; sisters and brother-in-law, Dixie & Dave Burkett of Jasonville, Brenda Harstine Durham of Mt. Carmel, IL; sister-by-heart, Jeannie Gray of Jasonville; nieces, Cindy & Bill Manuel of Noble, IL, Jennifer & Ron Rector of Terre Haute; nephews, Jeremy & Kristen Burkett of Terre Haute, Danny & Yonny Ansorge of Mt. Carmel, IL, Darren & Linda Ansorge of Holton, MI; 1 great-niece; 9 great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father; step-dad, Earl “Herb” Gardner; infant brother, Danny Earl May.

Lisa was a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day in spite of struggling for years with MS. She had a lot of stamina and grit and was a trooper to the end. Lisa sometimes attended Cornerstone Community Church in Noble, IL and enjoyed watching Joel Osteen on Sundays. She loved to shop, play games on the computer and dogs and cats. She will be forever cherished and missed.

Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, IN; coxfuneralhomejasonville.com. Visitation was scheduled from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Funeral Home. Funeral Services immediately followed visitation at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 11, 2017 at the Cox Funeral Home with Pastor Brad West and Pastor Darren Sluder officiating.

Interment was at Peavey Cemetery in Howesville, IN.
