BRENDA E. CROSS, 55, of Jasonville, Indiana passed away 9:00 A.M. Monday, February 1, 2010 at her residence. Brenda was born September 9, 1954 in Linton, Indiana to Clarence “Buck” Cross and Julia Lillian (Davies) Cross.
Survivors include her mother, Julia Lillian Cross of Jasonville, IN; aunt, Artabell Logston of Florida; uncle, Wayne Williams of Jasonville, IN; cousins, Karen Williams of Jasonville, IN, John Williams of Dugger, IN, Norman Williams of Martinsville, IN, Gerrie Watson of Linton, IN, Lori Markle of Linton, IN; and close friend, Suzanne Keller of Jasonville. Brenda was preceded in death by her father and brother, Robert “Bob” Cross.
She was a CNA at Shakamak Good Samaritan Nursing Center for 36 years and graduated from Shakamak High School in 1973. Brenda was dedicated to her family and her work at Shakamak Good Samaritan Nursing Center, and a fan of Shakamak Sporting Events and the Indianapolis Colts. She also had a love of writing poetry.
Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home, 218 South Meridian Street, Jasonville, IN. Visitation was 4-8 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home. Funeral Services were 11 a.m. Friday, February 5, 2010 with Pastor Sam Bush officiating. Interment was in Lebanon Cemetery in Midland, IN.
