ANITA JEAN BURRIS, 46, of Worthington, Indiana passed away at 3:56 a.m. Wednesday, January 6, 2016 in I.U. Health Bloomington.
She was born December 28, 1969 in Indianapolis, IN to Jim Arms and Vera Lynn (King) Arms.
Survivors include her parents, Jim and Vera Lynn Arms of Freedom, IN; husband of 24 years, Shawn T. Burris of Worthington, IN whom she married on March 5, 1991; children, Jason and Savannah Arms of Linton, IN, Nickashia Burris of Worthington, IN, Vera Burris of Jasonville, IN, Shontelle Burris of Spencer, IN, Gabrian Burris of Worthington, IN, Kaden Burris of Worthington, IN; grandchildren, Maloriee Arms, Little Jason Arms, Titus Arms, Tiberius Arms, Brealynn Earle; brothers and sisters-in-law, Steve and Melissa Arms of Spencer, IN, Jimmy and Angela Arms of California; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Anita King; uncle, Tony Straub; aunt, Debbie Straub.
Anita was a homemaker. She attended the Worthington Assembly of God Church and Anchored in Faith. Anita loved to read the Bible, spend time with her family and tease them. She loved to make them smile. Anita enjoyed camping and spending time around the campfire. She loved to spend time with the Lord, be a wife to her husband, a mother to her children, and a grandmother to her grandbabies.
Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation was scheduled from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday at the Worthington Assembly of God Church. Funeral Services immediately followed Visitation at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 9, 2016 at the Church with Pastor Davey Dyer and Pastor Larry Watters officiating.
Interment was at Pleasant Bethel Cemetery in Owen County, IN.
