CARL ROLAND JONES, 69, passed away at 8:12 p.m. Saturday, December 12, 2009 at Regional Hospital in Terre Haute, IN. He was born December 28, 1939 in Woomak, IL to Roy Porter and Virginia (Castle) O’Brian.
He was a warehouse Foreman of National Tea Company & Grocery of Indianapolis, Worthington Pork Plant and a Coal Truck Driver. Carl had earned a degree in warehousing.
He is survived by his wife Karen (Summers) Jones of Jasonville; daughter & son-in-law, Nancy & Doug Daugherty of Jasonville; sons & daughters-in-law, Dennis & Nancy Jones of Jasonville, Jon & Robin Jones of Jasonville, Jerry & Cathy Jones of Vicksburg, and Mike & Sheila Jones of Mooresville, IN; brothers, Roy Jones of Florida and Earl Jones of California; 13 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Dorothy and Betty; great granddaughter, Madison Jones and great -grandson, Isaac Watters.
As Carl wished cremation was chosen, burial was at a later date in Peavey Cemetery. No visitation or services were scheduled. Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home, 218 South Meridian St, Jasonville.
