GEORGE D. CARMICHAEL, 71, of Jasonville, Indiana passed away at 7:42 a.m. Saturday, September 11, 2010 in the Greene County General Hospital, Linton, IN. George was born February 16, 1939 in Owensburg, IN to Harley and Mary Carmichael.
Survivors include daughters & sons-in-law, Mary & Stanley Jordan of Shirley, IN; step-daughter, Betty Allen of Arkansas; daughter-in-law, Brenda Carmichael of Jasonville, IN; brothers, Jimmy Carmichael, and Glen Carmichael of Bedford, IN; grandchildren, Jodie Williams, Kevin Williams and Larry Williams. He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, George A. Carmichael, Donald J. Carmichael and Roger Carmichael.
He had worked for RCA in Bloomington and Crane NWSC. He was a member of the Jasonville American Legion Post #172.
Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home, 218 South Meridian Street, Jasonville, IN. Graveside Services were 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at the Owensburg Cemetery in Owensburg, Indiana with Pastor Carl Leth officiating.
