CLAUDE C. SLUDER JR., 72, of Dugger, IN passed away at 12:10 A.M. Sunday, January 10, 2021 in Eastgate Manor in Washington, IN.

He was born May 6, 1948 in Linton, IN to Claude C. Sluder Sr. and Pauline (Wilkes) Sluder.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Margo Sluder of Dugger, IN whom he married in June 1973; son, Jonathan Sluder (Andrea) of Worthington, IN; grandchildren, Payton, Bailey, Clayton, Wesley; brothers, Tommy Sluder (Linda) of Linton, IN, Dennis Sluder of Terre Haute, IN; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Jack Sluder, Jerry Sluder, Richard Sluder; nephew, Scotty Sluder.

Claude was a Ham Radio Operator and a member of the Flyers Club. He made a career in the Indiana Army National Guard. Claude received an Indiana Commendation Medal twice, an Army Commendation Medal twice and was a member of the Old Guard Army National Guard. Claude was a member of the Governor’s Inaugural Guard, Memorial Honors Unit and attended the Governor’s Ball twice as well as having coffee with the Governor. Claude was quite proud of his military service.

Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. In keeping with Claude’s wishes cremation is scheduled with no services.
