DARIN JAY COVERSTONE, 47, of Jasonville, Indiana passed away at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2018 in his residence.  

He was born September 7, 1970 in Linton, IN to Donald E. Coverstone and Clara I. (Sparks) Coverstone.

Survivors include his mother, Clara Coverstone of Jasonville; siblings, Darla Cottom (Chris) of West Terre Haute, Renita Secrest (Jeff) of Jasonville, Dana Coverstone (Jennifer) of Burkesville, KY; nieces and nephews, Travis Coleman, Brandon Coleman, Brooke Cox, Brittany Chambers, Keilah Coverstone, Micah Coverstone, Hannah Coverstone.

He was preceded in death by his father; aunt, Betty Sluder.

Darin was a 1988 Graduate of Shakamak High School. He had worked for GE and then Tredagar in Terre Haute. Darin attended the Jasonville Assembly of God Church. He liked fishing, hunting and wrote country and western music. He enjoyed traveling to Nashville, TN to visit friends, enjoyed playing guitar and spending time with his family. Darin was known for telling jokes! He played little league in his younger years.

Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation was scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the Funeral Home. Funeral Services were 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 24, 2018 at the Cox Funeral Home with Pastor Dana Coverstone, Pastor Micah Coverstone and Pastor Sam Bush officiating.

Interment was at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland, IN.
