DANNY ROY “DAN” COX, 63, of Jasonville, Indiana passed away at 8:20 p.m. Saturday, June 21, 2014 in Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, IN.

He was born September 29, 1950 in Indianapolis, IN to Homer Cox and Myrtle (Orman) Cox.

Dan married Cynthia Ann (Cooper) Cox in 1971 and she passed away December 21, 1993.

Survivors include his sons & daughter-in-law, Shad & Shauna Cox of Linton, IN, Jesse Cox of Linton, IN; mother, Myrtle Cox of Linton, IN; grandson, Braden Cox; special thanks to Brad Hays of Jasonville, IN and good friend, Rick Jackson of Jasonville, IN.

He was preceded in death by his father, Homer; wife, Cindy.

Dan was a retired coalminer from Peabody Coal Company where he had worked as an equipment operator. He was a member of the Jasonville American Legion Post #172. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors. Dan was into motorcycles and liked his gardening.

Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana with Visitation scheduled from 10 to 2 Thursday at the Funeral Home. Funeral Services were 2 p.m. Thursday, June 26, 2014 at the Cox Funeral Home with Pastor Gregg Orman officiating.

Interment was at Antioch Cemetery in rural Dugger, IN.
