THOMAS JOE COX, 50, of Jasonville, Indiana passed away at 2:55 a.m. Tuesday, February 25, 2014 in Regional Hospital, Terre Haute, IN.
He was born December 11, 1963 in Davies County, IN to Morris L. and Charlene S. (Nowling) Cox.
Survivors include his wife, Lisa A. (Collins) Cox of Jasonville, IN whom he married on May 18, 2004; daughter & son-in-law, Leanna & Joshua Jones of Jasonville, IN; grandchildren, Eli Jones; mother, Charlene Cox of Plainville, IN; sisters, Anita L. Abrams of Elnora, IN, May Lynn Yarbrough of McEwen, TN; brothers, Charles P. Cox of Jasonville, IN, Bruce A. Cox of Epsom, IN; maternal grandmother, Wanona Irene Nowling; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Morris L. Cox; brother, Michael L. Cox; granddaughter, Madison Jones.
Thomas graduated from North Davies High School. He was employed by Great Dane of Brazil, IN. Thomas loved to play with his grandson. He collected knives, eagles, lighters and enjoyed wood-working.
Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana with Visitation scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. service time Friday at the Funeral Home. Funeral Services were 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 28, 2014 at the Cox Funeral Home with Pastor John Catchem officiating.
Interment was at Concord Cemetery in Davies County, IN.
