JULIA LILLIAN (DAVES) CROSS, 79, of Jasonville, Indiana passed away at 5:15 a.m. Wednesday, February 16, 2011 in Shakamak Good Samaritan Nursing Center, Jasonville, IN.  She was born October 9, 1931 in Puckett Prairie, Jasonville, IN to James Daves and Earle Lillian (Reed) Daves. Julia married Clarence W. “Buck” Cross, Jr., July 25, 1953 and who passed away June 4, 1974.

Survivors include sister, Phoebe Logston of Seabring, FL; nieces and nephews, Michael Cowden, Patrick Cowden, Barbara Heilman, Donna Zimmerman, Arrita Albrecht, James Logston, Rocky Logston, Gerrie Watson, Norman Williams, Karen Williams, John Williams and Lori Markle.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Robert Cross; daughter, Brenda Cross; brother, Robert Daves who died while serving in Belgium during WWII; sister, Goldie Cowden; nephew, William Logston; brother-in-law, Wayne Williams.

Julia worked in food service at the Jasonville Senior Citizen Center and around the Jasonville area. She attended the Jasonville Church of God and liked reading, gardening and working puzzles.

Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana with Visitation scheduled from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. service time Saturday at the Funeral Home. Funeral Services were 2 p.m. Saturday, February 19, 2011 at the Cox Funeral Home with Pastor Sam Bush officiating.

Interment was at K of P Cemetery in Hymera, IN.
