HARVEY CURTIS, 86, of Jasonville, Indiana passed away at 12:55 a.m. Monday, January 20, 2014 in Greene County General Hospital, Linton, IN.

He was born April 25, 1927 in Owingsville, KY to Willie Rose Curtis.

Harvey married Sandra Sue (Saladin) Curtis on September 13, 1953 and she passed away on September 8, 2006.

Survivors include his daughters & son-in-law, Susan Grady of Indianapolis, IN, Robin & Tom Myers of Jasonville, IN; sons & daughters-in-law, Troy & Melanie Curtis of Webster Grove, MO, Tony & Virginia Curtis of Fort Bragg, NC; grandchildren, Brandi & Joby Cox, Lisa & Jeff Garrett, Nikki & Brian Cooley, Dusty Myers, Mallory Curtis, John Curtis, Chelsey Curtis, Jared Curtis, Sierra Curtis, Joshua Curtis, Jacob Curtis; great-grandchildren, Draven Cox, Jaxon Cox, Abigail Pridemore, Gryphon Haas, Owen Cox, Aiden Pridemore, Quentin Thompson; sister-in-law & brother-in-law, Darlene & Bill Gilliam of Vero Beach, FL; brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Bill & Shirley Saladin of Bloomfield, IN; nieces, nephews & cousins.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Sue Curtis; grandmother who raised him, Rosa Curtis; mother.

Harvey was a U.S. Army Veteran and received a WWII Victory Medal. He retired after 35 years of service in May of 1984 from Crane as a Locomotive Engineer. He loved fishing and camping. He coached Little League Baseball when his sons played.

Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana with Visitation scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. service time Saturday at the Funeral Home. Funeral Services were 2 p.m. Saturday, January 25, 2014 at the Cox Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Dickey officiating.

Interment was at Fairview Cemetery in Linton, IN with Military Graveside Rites.
