DAKOTA RICHMOND, 31, of Jasonville, IN passed away at 3:34 a.m. Saturday, August 1, 2026.
He was born January 11, 1995 in Vincennes, IN to Brad Richmond and Caroline (Emery) Ducharme.
Survivors include his father, Brad Richmond (Tammy) of Jasonville, IN, mother, Caroline Ducharme (Paul) of Linton, IN; children, Weston Richmond of Jasonville, IN, Nonie Richmond of Jasonville, IN; siblings, Hayleigh Bickel (Rusty) of Jasonville, IN, Hunter Richmond of Jasonville, IN; step siblings, Ryan Street of Jasaonville, IN, Brittany Boram of Jasonville, IN; paternal grandfather, Bob Richmond of Jasonville, IN; aunt, Tawnya Richmond; nieces & nephews, Jaydon, Rusty III, Ryler, Blakeleigh, Presleigh; step niece and nephew, Evelyn Scott, Easton Spangenberg, and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Nona Richmond, maternal grandparents, Paul & Karen Emery.
Dakota graduated from Shakamak High School Class of 2013. He worked for Performance Inc at Duke Energy IGCC as a heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, riding his Harley as well as building and working on motorcyles. He just enjoyed being outdoors. Dakota loved spending time with his kids and playing games with them. He enjoyed working in the shop and building guns too. He also liked collecting flash lights and always wanted brighter bulbs. He was a member of Jasonville SAL Post# 172. Dakota was very protective and loving of those close to him.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday August 5, 2026 at the Funeral Home. Services are immediately following at 2 p.m. with Anthony Orman officiating.
Interment will be at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland, IN.
