DANNIE W. JENKINS, 72, of Jasonville passed away Saturday, March 20, 2010 at Methodist Hospital Yellow Rose Unit, Indianapolis, IN. He was born June 13, 1937 in Clay County, IN to Dannie “Boone” Jenkins and Arlie M. (Reed) Jenkins.

Survivors include wife, Beverly Jenkins of Jasonville whom he married May 13, 1995; daughter & son-in-law, Laura & Kuldip Wadhwan of Jasonville, IN; sons & daughters-in-law, Chris & Melinda Jenkins of Jasonville, IN; Craig Jenkins of Jasonville, Brian & Karen Pilant of Jasonville, IN; sisters & brothers-in-law, Viola Coleman of Fortville, IN, Willadean Cliver of Linton, IN & Marsha & Carey Snellenberger of Jasonville, IN; father & mother-in-law, Alfred & Vee Gabbard of Jasonville, IN; grandchildren, Christopher & Erica, Jonathan & Victoria, Dillon, Gavin & Taylor, Bryce, Kelsey, Bryant, Larissa, Kady & Jaden; great-grandchildren, Hailey & Aubry; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Esther “Cricket” Keller & Greta Jenkins; brother, Junior Jenkins; and grandson, Josh Thomas.

Dannie worked in service and installation for Rash Hardware, attended Jasonville Assembly of God where he was a youth leader for the Royal Rangers, served as a Deacon and church bus driver. He served in the 101st Airborne in the United States Army.

Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home, 218 South Meridian St, Jasonville, IN. Visitation was 5-9 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home. Funeral Services were 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 24, 2010 with Pastor Sherman Reed officiating. Interment was in Peavey Cemetery, Howesville, IN.
