DAVID K. LOCKARD SR., 92, of Jasonville, IN passed away at 2:10 p.m. Thursday, December 18, 2025 in his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born July 30, 1933 in Terre Haute, IN to Daniel Lockard and Hattie (Keller) Lockard.
David married Mildred Pauline Lockard April 12, 1996, she passed away on January 2, 2018.
Survivors include his children, David Daniel Lockard of Jasonville, IN, Billy Joel Lockard of Jasonville, IN, Shiela Morris of West Terre Haute, IN, Julie Stetter (Mark) of Linton, IN, Molly Rose (Travis) of Linton, IN; grandchildren, Frankie Enochs, Joshua Morris, Cheyenne Downing, Ashley Roberts, Megan Stetter-Hamer, Jessica Hall, Paul Fagg, Tammie Mendoza; some great-gradnchildren and great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 1st wife, Viretta Lockard; 2nd Wife, Mildred Pauline Lockard; son, David Kenneth Lockard Jr.; foster son, Butch McGranahan; brothers, Lawrence Lockard, Freddy Lockard, Billy Lockard; sister, Mabel Johnson.
David worked for the Tony Hulman Family, Terre Haute Malleable Foundry and Woodswire in Jasonville. David enjoyed woodworking, building many things including small furniture for the grandkids dolls. He also like mushroom hunting and collecting herbs. David loved spending time with his family.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday December 23. 2025 at the Funeral Home. Services are at 8 p.m. with Pastor David Smith officiating.
Interment will be at Friendly Grove Cemetery near Lewis, IN.
