DAVID L. “DAVE” ROGERSON, 77, of Jasonville, IN passed away at 8:21 A.M. Friday, May 15, 2026 in Glenburn Nursing Home in Linton, IN.
He was born May 21, 1948 in Linton, IN to Earl Rogerson and Martha (Bitz) Rogerson.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Joyce Rogerson of Jasonville, IN who he married on December 17, 1971; children, Michelle Edwards (Nathan) of Shirley, IL, Krista Parsons (Adam) of Jasonville, IN; granddaughter, Olivia Parsons; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, infant son, William Earl Rogerson; sister, Sharon G. Rogerson; brother, Dennis Rogerson.
Dave graduated from Shakamak High School Class of 1966. He is a U.S, Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked with his dad and brother doing electrical work as well as Ronnie Luxton. He had worked as a dragline operator for several years. Dave owned and operated Hoosier Pete’s Gas Station for 32 years. Dave loved riding roller coasters, driving and working on his old cars, everything from engine work to painting. He also enjoyed mowing the yard. Dave loved his family and spending time with them, especially his granddaughter Olivia.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 23, 2026 at the Funeral Home. Services are immediately following at 1 p.m. with Pastor Dana Duncan officiating.
Interment will be at Peavey Cemetery in Jasonville, IN with Military Graveside Rites.
