DAVID W. BICKEL, 47, of Jasonville, Indiana passed away at 2:15 p.m. Monday, April 5, 2010 in Regional Hospital, Terre Haute, IN. He was born October 25, 1962 in Linton, IN to Donald W. Bickel and Lucy E. (Edelman) Bickel.
Survivors include daughters, Connie Sue Bickel & Kenny Russell of Jasonville, Briley Nicole Bickel of Jasonville; grandchildren, Connor David Bickel & Kollin Dale Russell; sisters & brothers-in-law, Donna & Jim Bradbury of Hymera, Diane Mitchell of Jasonville, Nancy & Dennis Jones of Jasonville, Debbie & Steve Strahla of Jasonville, Cheryl & Jeff Reed of Indianapolis; brother, Donnie Bickel of Jasonville; 15 nieces & nephews; five great-nieces; numerous cousins; several aunts & uncles; special brother, Bruce Cole. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; nephew, Billy Todd Turley; brother-in-law, Kerry Mitchell.
David was a Union Carpenter out of Vincennes Local and also worked for Jarvis Coal. He was a member of the Sons of Hymera American Legion, Vincennes Carpenters Union Local #546.
Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home, 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, IN. There was no public visitation. Graveside Services were 2 p.m. Thursday April 8, 2010 at the Friendly Grove Cemetery, Lewis, IN with Pastor Sam Bush officiating.
