LOLA MAE DEAKINS,
91, of Jasonville, Indiana passed away at 2:47 p.m. Wednesday, October 1, 2014 in her residence.

She was born April 26, 1923 in Greene County, IN to Peter Pentland and Sarah Addaline (Durham) Pentland.

Lola married Laverne Deakins on September 20, 1941 and he passed away on February 23, 1997.

Survivors include her daughters & son-in-law, Carolyn R. Crichfield of Jasonville, IN, Jeanne & Forrest Wayne Metcalf of Sullivan, IN; grandchildren, Daryla & Gary Miller, Suzanne & Jason Jackson, Chris & Suzy Jenkins, Craig Jenkins, Eric Metcalf, Billy Metcalf, Bob Metcalf, Justin Metcalf, Christen & Andy Arnold; 22 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special nephew, Richard Pentland  (Peg).

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Ruth; brothers, George and Frank; son-in-law, James D. Crichfield; great-grandson, Joshua Thomas.

Lola graduated from Jasonville High School Class of 1940. She had worked for Ridinger Enterprises for 40 years. She was a member of the Jasonville Assembly of God Church. She loved caring for her grandkids and liked to crochet.

Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation was scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. service time Saturday at the Funeral Home. Funeral Services were 2 p.m. Saturday, October 4, 2014 at the Funeral Home with Pastor Sam Bush officiating.

Interment was at Peavey Cemetery in Howesville, IN.

In lieu of flowers contributions were made to the Greene County Foundation, Jasonville Fund in memory of Lola Mae Deakins. Envelopes were available at the funeral home.
