DEBRA ALICE (SCHULZ) YATES, 73, of Jasonville, IN passed away at 1;16 p.m. Monday, July 8,, 2024 in St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville, IN.
She was born April 8, 1951 in Indianapolis, IN to Howard Schulz and Betty (Rutledge) Schulz.
Deborah married Lowe Howard Yates who has passed away.
Survivors include her children, Michael Dickerson (Amy) of Jasonville, IN, Nicholas “Nick” Dickerson of Jasonville, IN, Robert Dickerson (Kim) of Odessa, TX; grandchildren, Robert Dickerson, Nicholas Dickerson, Joshua Dickerson, Aaron Evans, Christopher Roberts; several great-grandchildren; brothers, Mark Schulz (Nancy) of Plainfield, IN, Tom Rutledge of Jasonville, IN; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; siblings, Howard Schulz, Pauline Rutledge, Kaye Schulz.
Deborah graduated from Mooresville High School. She later graduated from Ivy Tech with her LPN. She worked as an LPN in nursing homes until she retired. She enjoyed working with her hands, doing crafts and knitting.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. In keeping with Deborah’s wishes cremation is scheduled with no services planned at this time.
Family will be holding a celebration of life at a later date.
