DELORES J. BROWN, 85, of Jasonville, Indiana passed away at 7:50 p.m. Thursday, December 27, 2018 in Shakamak Good Samaritan Center, Jasonville, IN surrounded by her loving family.

She was born August 30, 1933 in Clay County, IN to Charles J. and Iva (Keller) Burger.

Delores married Joe Brown on July 14, 1951 and he passed away on December 13, 2004.

Survivors include her, children, Ginger Spainhower (Jim) of Worthington, Debra Cullison (George) of Linton, Bob Brown (Carolyn) of Jasonville; grandchildren; Jill & Jamie Taylor, Lee Spainhower, Bradley Brown, Bryan Brown (Regina); great-grandchildren, Rebecca Reynolds, Abigayle Reynolds, Zeta Brown, Sophia Brown, Evan Brown, Briar Taylor; aunt, Ethel Rush of Indianapolis; sister-in-law, Shirley Burger of South Bend; several nieces and nephews; her buddy, Lucky her cat.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Iva Burger; husband, Joe Brown; brother, Dale Burger; sister, Nora Nichols; nephew, David Burger.

Delores was a homemaker. She was a member of the Jasonville United Methodist Church where she played the piano for many years.

Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation is scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the Funeral Home. Funeral Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at the Cox Funeral Home with Pastor Sam Bush and Pastor Zachary Manton officiating.

Interment will be at Peavey Cemetery in Howesville, IN.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Delores to the Back Door Food Pantry. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
