DENNIS MICHAEL PITMAN, 70, of Coalmont, IN passed away at 8;31 a.m. Friday, June 25, 2021 at home surrounded by his family.
He was born April 28, 1951 in Eubanks, Kentucky to Henry Pitman and Crystal Aleen (Crouch) Pitman.
Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Donna Pitman of Coalmont, IN who he married on May 31, 1997; children, Michael Pitman (Deanna) of Carmel, IN, April Wehrle (Steve) of Greenwood, IN, Angelique Neal (Bruce) of Noblesville, IN, Katina Whalen (Brent) of Indianapolis, IN, Jaden Shelton of Coalmont, IN; step-children; George Curnett (Kyla) of Coalmont, IN, Crystal Currnet of Coalmont, IN; grandchildren, Kaylin, Tyler, Alex, Brandon, Stephen, Olicia Headdy (Joshua), Jehonathan, Sarah, Hannah, Sophia, Christopher, Nathan, Devon, Maylee, Jonaghan, Jaden ; great-grandchildren, Luna, Logan, Wyatt, Bo, Jude, David, Phynnigan; siblings, Crystal Abney (Steve) of Brownsburg, IN, Cat Blake of Coatsville, IN, Henry Pitman (Virginia) of Indianapolis, IN, Eddie Pitman (Nancy) of Rushville, IN; brother, Jene Pitman (Leann) of Indianapolis, IN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Aleen Pitman and a brother, Charles Pitman.
Dennis graduated Decatur, IN High School. He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam in the Military Police. Dennis worked as a Policeman in Mooresville, IN. He worked construction for several years and also with livestock as well as grain farming.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation is scheduled from 11 A.M. to 3 P.M. Saturday at the Funeral Home. Funeral Services are 3 P.M. Saturday, July 3, 2021 with Pastor Sam Bush officiating. Military Honors will immediately follow the service.
