DIANA JEAN (GAMBILL) JOHNSON, 75, of Jasonville, IN passed away at 1;45 a.m. Thursday, September 24, 2026 in Serenity Springs Senior Living surrounded by her loving family.
She was born August 16, 1951 in Gary, Indiana to Roy Gambill and Virginia (Cox) Gambill.
Diana married Dewayne C. Johnson on May 26, 1992, he passed away on June 28, 2014.
Survivors include her children, Shelly VanHorn (Rick) of Jasonville, IN, Chasity Samm (Tim) of Jasonville, IN; step-children, David Johnson (Billie) of Jasonville, IN, Lisa Paul (David) of Effingham, IL; grandchildren, Misty (Levi), Heather, Ryan (Taylor), Jarred (Kate), Brooke (Brandon), Kiera (Mikel); great-grandchildren, Kaden, Kaleb, Wyatt, Eden, Banx, Braizlynn, Brenzlee, Wrenley; special cousin/best friend, Pam Simmons; sister, Regina Mitchell; brother-in-law Tom Johnson (Jill) Jasonville ; sister-in-law Tina Johnson; nephews, Jeremy, Michael.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; brother, Larry Gambill; brother in-law Ralph Johnson.
Diana worked for Walmart for 26 years until her retirement. She attended Howesville Church of God of Prophecy. She enjoyed adult coloring and crocheting. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation is scheduled from 11 AM to 2 PM Tuesday, September 29, 2026 at the Funeral Home. Services are immediately following at 2 PM with James (Bo) Simmons officiating.
Interment will be at Antioch Cemetery near Hymera, IN.
