DEAN M. DICKEY, 84, of Jasonville, Indiana went to be with the Lord at 2:10 p.m. Monday, October 20, 2014 in his residence.

He was born August 19, 1930 in Jasonville, IN to John M. Dickey and Ellen Mae (Borders) Dickey.

Survivors include his wife, Rosie (Slater) Dickey of Jasonville, IN whom he married on June 5, 1959; daughters & sons-in-law, Debby & Steve Morano of Dana Point, CA, Karen Dickey & Tom Nance of Jasonville, IN, Pam Powell of Linton, IN, Vicky & Van Wallisa of Linton, IN,  Ellen & Marty Brasher of Petersburg, IN; son, Bobby Dean Dickey of Graysville, IN; special friends, Vicky & Dave Gatz of Lyons, IN; grandchildren, Marcus, Bandy, David Morano, Travis Dickey, Wyatt Dickey, Rodney Page, Roger Page, Ryan Powell, Joshua Dickey, Jesse Faught, John Dickey, Van Dickey, Seth Brasher, Allison Brasher, Melissa Hicks, Emily Brasher; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Dickey, Pat Dorman, Connie Wools, Nancy Caddell & Frank, Donna Caryle, Tiny Slater; brother-in-law, Jimmy & Sasha Slater; several nieces and nephews; special pet cat, Mouser.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Delores Dickey, Florence Kirkwood; brothers, Harold Dickey, Willard Dickey, Max Dickey, Jack Dickey.

Dean owned and operated Dean’s Body Shop. He was a Golden Glove Boxer in his early days. He was a member of the Jasonville Church of Christ. Dean was a great fisherman, loved family gatherings, mushroom hunting, homemade ice cream and breakfast.

Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana with Visitation scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday and Noon until service time Sunday at the Funeral Home. Funeral Services were 2 p.m. Sunday, October 26, 2014 at the Cox Funeral Home with his grandson, Pastor Van Dickey and his nephew, Pastor Warren Kirkwood officiating.

Interment was at Peavey Cemetery in Howesville, IN.
