DONALD LEE “DON” REEDY, 75, of Jasonville, IN passed away at 10:55 p.m. Friday, September 19, 2025 in his home in Jasonville, IN.
He was born October 15, 1949 in Linton, IN to Emil Reedy and Rosemary (Denny) Reedy Russell.
Survivors include his wife of 10 years, Gayla G. (Grabner) Reedy of Jasonville, IN who he married on October 1, 2014; children, Kara DeWitt (James) of Indianapolis, IN, Andrea “Adi” Eckard of Collierville, TN; grandchildren, Kali Rodgers (Braun), Taylor Eckard, Dylan Eckard; great-grandson, Remi Rodgers. step-son, Brandon Calvert (Stacy); step-granddaughters, Bralyn Calvert, Kaylee Calvert; sisters, Marlene Krenk of Murfreesboro, TN, Charlene Witt of Plainfield, IN, Becky Johnson of Avon, IN; several nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law, Francie Barton and Marla Stockrahm (Brian).
He was preceded in death by his parents; 1st wife, Belinda Reedy-DOD 02-14-2007
Don graduated from Shakamak High School Class of 1968. Don enjoyed playing euchre, fishing and going to the beach. He worked as a brick mason and was a member of International Union of Bricklayers & Allied Craft Workers 4-INK. Union Local 5-IN, where he retired. Linton SAL Post# 22, life member Linton BPO Elks Lodge# 866. He was a member and past president of Sullivan County Shrine Club, member and past officer of Greene County Shrine Club, Vigo County Zorah Shrine, Assoc. member of Linton FOP Lodge# 108, Mitchell Masonic Lodge# 228 F&AM, Life member of Sullivan VFW Auxillary Post# 2459. Don loved his family and spending time with them, especially his grandchildren and new great-grandson, and their dog Heidi.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at the Funeral Home. Services are immediately following at 2 p.m. with Pastor Jack Shake officiating.
Interment will be at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland, IN.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Don to Greene County and Sullivan County Shrine Clubs. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
