DONALD RAY “DONNIE” PASTORE SR., 67, of Jasonville, IN formerly of Clinton, IN passed away at 3:12 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2019 in Regional Hospital in Terre Haute, IN.

He was born December 27, 1951 in Clinton, IN to Marion “Mono” Pastore and Mary (Donald) Pastore.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy J. (Peterson) Pointer Pastore of Jasonville, IN who he married on October 16, 1999; children, Donald Ray Pastore Jr. (Dawn Dee) of Sullivan, IN, Sebastian Erik Eldon Pastore of Alabama; step-sons, Corey M. Pointer (Candra) of Jasonville, IN, Nathan A. Pointer (Tiffany) of Jasonville, IN; grandkids, Alyssa Fulk (Dan), Scosha Liberty, Joey Liberty, Alexis Brunson, Halle Brunson, Jolee Brunson, Gabby Pastore, Jaxson Harbaugh, Taylor Pointer, Andie Pointer; great-grandkids, Nova Frazee, Tate Collins; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; sisters-in-law Elaine Pastore of Clinton, IN, Elizabeth Pastore of New Goshen, IN.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Marion “Mono” Pastore, Ronald “Butch” Pastore.

Donnie graduated from Clinton High School in 1970. He worked as Fire Chief of Clinton, Clinton city cop, Vermillion County Sheriff’s Deputy, Civil Defense of Vermillion County, and retired from Federal Bureau of Prisons in Terre Haute, IN. Donnie was a member of the Jasonville American Legion Post #172 S.A.L., F&AM Masonic Lodge #560 in Linton, Clay City VFW Auxillary, Zora Shrine Valley of Terre Haute, Greene County Shrine Club, and Sullivan County Shrine Club. He loved to fish, hunt, and hang out with his friends at the Legion.

Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. In keeping with Donnie’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services. There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
