DONNA ROSE (KENT) ELLIS, 88, of Jasonville, IN passed away at 12;11 a.m. Friday, June 23, 2023 in Greene County General Hospital in Linton, IN.
She was born June 29, 1934 in Clay County, Indiana to Edgar Kent and Crystal (Collins) Kent.
Donna married Everett E. Ellis February 9, 1952, they celebrated 60 years of marriage before he passed away on May 12, 2012.
Survivors include her son, Tony Ellis (Mary) of Jasonville, IN; grandchildren, Amy Moriarity (Mike), Emily Kramer (John); great-grandchildren, Joshua Moriarity, Hayley Hatter (Reece), Autumn Moriarity, Luke Kramer, Kent Kramer.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Donna graduated from Coalmont High School Class of 1952. She worked at GE in Linton and also at Shakamak Good Samaritan Nursing Home in the activities area for the residents. Donna enjoyed watching soap operas, working outdoors in her flowers and with Everett in the garden. She enjoyed taking pictures that captured the many events and happenings of their family. Donna enjoyed playing bingo at the nursing home. She was a member of Olive Branch Baptist Church in Linton and the Sebring Baptist Church in Sebring, FL.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation is scheduled from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at the Funeral Home. Services are immediately following at 1 P.M. with Pastor Dana Duncan officiating.
Interment will be at Peavey Cemetery in Howesville, IN.
