DORIS ANN (LENNING) HAWKINS, 78, of Jasonville, IN passed away at 5:15 A.M. Monday, February 22, 2021 in Regional Hospital in Terre Haute, IN.
She was born September 9, 1942 in Greene County, IN to Clyde Lenning and Genevieve (Haywood) Lenning.
Survivors include her children, Donnie Ranard (Kris) of Spencer, IN, Danny Ranard (Brandy) of Jasonville, IN; grandchildren, Ty, Tony (Jordan), Destiny (Shawn), Dustin (Brittany), Hannah; great-grandchildren, Jackson, Garrison, Conner, Clara, Callie; siblings, Brady Lenning of Picque, KS, Nick Lenning of Spencer, IN.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Fred Lenning, John Lenning; sister, Rosetta Collins; step-mother, Kate Lenning.
Doris graduated Owen Valley High School Class of 1962. She enjoyed reading her bible as well as other books and enjoyed helping at the Shakamak Good Samaritan where she was a resident for several years. Doris enjoyed working in the nursing home garden. Doris loved her family and spending time with them.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. In keeping with Doris’s wishes cremation will be scheduled with a Celebration of Life to be held from 3 to 6 P.M. Friday, February 26, 2021 at the Jasonville American Legion Post# 172. Graveside Service is at 11 A.M. Saturday, March 27, 2021 with Pastor David Smith officiating.
