DOROTHY M. (EDMONDSON) DOVE, 98, of Jasonville, IN passed away at 1 P.M. Monday, December 3, 2023 in Glenburn Nursing Home in Linton, IN.
She was born February 8, 1925 in Jasonville, IN to Carl L. Edmondson and Grace (Chittenden) Edmondson.
Dorothy married Sheldon “Bo” Dove on February 20, 1943, he passed away in 1991.
Survivors include her daughter, Carol Sue Preecs (Michael) of Danville, IN; grandchildren, Kelli Griffith (Greg) of Lewis, IN, Kim Reynolds (Chuck) of Sullivan, IN, Scott Hayes (Becky) of Worthington, IN, Todd Preecs (Valerie) of Danville, IN, Janice Carter (Don) of Danville, IN; great-grandchildren, Lucas, Paige, Curt, Chase, Colton, Emily, Grace, Olivia, Kendra, Trent, Cassandra, Miranda, Jared; great-great-grandchildren – 13; great-great-great-grandchildren – 1.
She was preceded in death by her, parents, husband; daughter, Patricia Hayes; siblings, 10 brothers and sisters.
Dorothy graduated from Jasonville High School Class of 1943. She had belonged to Triad, Jasonville American Legion Auxillary. Dorothy enjoyed bowling and played on a league, she also liked playing bingo and enjoyed sewing.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation is scheduled from Noon to 1 P.M. Friday, December 8, 2023 at the Funeral Home. Services are immediately following at 1 P.M. with Pastor David Smith officiating.
Interment will be at Peavey Cemetery in Howesville, IN.
