STEVEN W. “PETE” DUNCAN, 68, of Jasonville, Indiana passed away at 8:06 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2013 in his residence.

He was born February 26, 1945 in Brazil, IN to Robert Duncan and Verna Maxine (Miller) Duncan.

Steven married Carol Sue (McGavic) Duncan September 4, 1965 and she passed away on October 22, 2000.

Survivors include his children and spouses, Michael & Tamie Duncan of Jasonville, IN, Bradley & Andrea Duncan of Jasonville, IN, Mischelle Busby of Jasonville, IN; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters & brothers-in-law, Donetta & Bud Travis of Clay City, IN, Connie & Bob Orman of Brazil, IN.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

Pete was a carpenter where he worked in construction in the Carpenters Local #1745 Union Member for 45 years. He was a member of the Terre Haute Assembly of God Church, Jasonville American Legion Post #172. He served in the National Guard for six years. He was a Nascar Race Fan and was an outdoorsman where he enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana with Visitation scheduled from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the Funeral Home. Funeral Services were 11 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2013 at the Cox Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Messmer and Pastor Floyd Stone officiating.

Interment was at Peavey Cemetery in Howesville, IN with Military Graveside Rites.

Contributions were made in memory of Pete to the American Diabetes Association or Vista Care.
