ELVA SMITH WILEY JR., 60, of Midland, IN passed away at A.M. Sunday, September 19, 2021 in his home surrounded by his family.

He was born July 29, 1961 in Huntington, West Virginia to Elva Wood Wiley and Melvie (Adkins) Wiley.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Sharon A. Wiley of Midland, IN; children, Michael L. Wiley of Indianapolis, IN, Christopher W. Wiley Sr. (Michelle) of Midland, IN, Jacob S. Wiley of Midland, IN;        grandchildren, Samantha Collenbaugh, Kaleb White (Kiley), Logan White, Daniel Goolsby, Christopher W. Wiley Jr., Colton White, Parker Wiley, Hunter White; great-granddaughter, Octavia Collenbaugh;       siblings, Maggie Templeton of Shelbyville, IN, Cora Belle Chittenden of Jasonville, IN, George Wiley (Carmella) of Jasonville, IN, Melvie Edwards (Joe) of Midland, IN, Calleen Wiggington of Midland, IN; several  nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Bertha Irene Blanton.

Elva was as a diesel mechanic working on heavy equipment and also worked as a heavy equipment operator. He loved to go hunting and fishing with his kids and grandkids. Elva was always working on a vehicle at home and enjoyed tinkering around, he enjoyed cookouts with the family and roasting hot dogs over the fire. Elva was a family man and loved spending time with his kids and grandkids.

Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation is scheduled from 6 to 9 P.M. Thursday, September 23. 2021 and 8 to 10 A.M. Friday, September 24, 2021 at the Funeral Home. Funeral Services immediately follow at 10 A.M. with Pastor Mike Rotman officiating.

Interment will be at Fry Cemetery in Midland, IN.
