ERNEST DARRELL ROTMAN, 70, of Jasonville, Indiana passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at his residence. He was born August 16, 1948 to Harry Rotman and Luna Jo (Stoops) Rotman.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Rotman (Dayhuff), whom he married May 12, 2003. Children, Sheila Bonham (Michael) of Columbus, Jason Rotman of Indianapolis, Tara Baker (D Aung) of Plainfield, Niki Simpson (Ronnie) of Clay City; Grandchildren, Brian Richardson, Lindsay Zehrung (Craig), Emma Richardson, Preston Hasler, Jake Richardson, Madison Creager, Grant Simpson, Milee Simpson, Graycee Simpson, D’Kira Khum, Brandon Bonham, Alison Bonham; Brothers, David Rotman (Lisa), Joe Rotman, Lennie Waugh; Nephews, Andrew (Ashley) Rotman, Matthew (Amy) Rotman, Evan Rotman, Weston Reynolds; Nieces, Lindsey Watson, (Jeff) Katie Midgett (Matt).

He was preceded in death by his parents and aunt, Lillis Duffy.

Darrell was a graduate of Jasonville High School Class of 1966. He served our country for six years in the Navy. He attended Indiana State University where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in science, before attending Purdue University and earning his Masters in Pharmacology. He worked at the Clay City pharmacy serving people for over thirty years. He was a member of the EAA, enjoyed golfing, riding his motorcycle, flying as a pilot, and vacationing as a family in Panama City Beach. He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox. Services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, June 10, 2019, at Cox Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at the funeral home, Sunday, June 9, 2019 from 4-8 p.m. Interment will take place at K of P cemetery following the service with Pastor Mike Rotman in charge of the service. Military rites to follow.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in honor of Darrell to the Experimental Aircraft Association or Special Olympics.
