EUGENE “GENE” C. VANHORN, 90, of Jasonville, IN passed away peacefully in his sleep at 8:25 P.M. Wednesday, July 16, 2025 in his home in Jasonville, IN.
He was born February 2, 1935 in Jasonville, IN to Dewey VanHorn and Goldie M. VanHorn (Bickard).
Gene married Carolyn “Jean” Fisher on April 22, 1954. She passed away November 27, 1999.
Survivors include his sons, Bill VanHorn (Mary) of Jasonville, IN and Mike VanHorn (Lorinda) of Jasonville, IN; grandchildren; Mike Jr., Tad, Danielle, Chris, and many great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jean VanHorn; daughter, Diane VanHorn; brothers, Charles VanHorn and Donnie VanHorn.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. In keeping with Gene’s wishes cremation was chosen and no services are scheduled at this time.
