VIRGINIA LEE FARMER, 88, of Jasonville, Indiana passed away at 5:40 a.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2011 in Shakamak Good Samaritan Nursing Center of Jasonville, Indiana.

She was born March 31, 1923 in Clay County, Indiana to Howard and Flossie (Dickey) Brough.

Virginia married Jack Robert Farmer on December 7, 1943 and who passed away on July 17, 1984.

Survivors include her daughter, Patsy Hadley of Jasonville, IN; son & daughter-in-law, Norman & Mary Farmer of Howesville, IN; sisters, Betty Orman of Bloomington, MN; grandchildren, Brad Farmer, Dedra Cox, Ryan Hadley, Michelle Murley, Michael Hadley, Brenda Landry and Lynn Jernigan; 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Eddie Ray Farmer and 2 brothers.

Virginia attended the Jasonville Assembly of God. She enjoyed working in her flowers and gardening.

Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana with Visitation scheduled from 5 – 8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the Funeral Home. Funeral Services were 11 a.m. Saturday, July 2, 2011 at the Cox Funeral Home with Pastor Sam Bush officiating.

Interment was at Peavey Cemetery in Howesville, IN.
